The Story You’re Currently Telling Yourself

What else could be going on here? The next time you find yourself getting frustrated in an interpersonal situation aim to pause, take a deep breath then look a little bit deeper. Am I dealing with myself? My own hang-ups and experiences? My own beliefs about how the world and everyone in it should be?

Or, perhaps this is the other person’s issue. Am I viewing it only through my own lens? A lens that may or may not even reflect how they interpret the world?

These inquiries won’t solve all of your problems. But they sure as hell help! To at least loosen the grip of your attachment to the story you’re currently telling yourself.
