Check In With Yourself

Do you have something creative that you love to do? Do you do it for other people? Or for yourself? I wonder if you could love something that was purely driven by the external. Perhaps! But often the pressure, expectations, or eyeballs can fuck with our focus. Whether we can actually hear the outside noise or we create it in our minds, it is often very challenging to connect with your heart when in the throes of this kind of thinking.

The next time you find yourself struggling with something you typically love and enjoy doing, aim to pause and check in with yourself.

This pause, this tuning out of the world and tuning into yourself, can create just enough space to remember why you started.
